Paula graduated with honors from the University of Alabama, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2017. A native of Maryland, she began her career on the east coast as an ICU registered nurse, gaining valuable experience in neurosciences and trauma intensive care.
With a passion for helping others, Paula continued her education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. There she completed her adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioner program with a subspecialty in palliative care. Paula is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Paula understands the importance of patient-provider relationships. She prioritizes getting to know each of her patients at every visit, creating a lasting bond. Dedicated to her patients and their families, Paula has been awarded the Shining Star Nursing Award for exceptional and compassionate care on numerous occasions. Her goals include ensuring her patients are well-informed and active participants in their care.
In her spare time, Paula enjoys traveling, hanging with her pup, serving her community through local and international medical missions, and attending sporting events.
